As a pre-teen, did you ever watch a movie or series depicting what you call a perfect life? It could be the ultimate tween love story or maybe it's about a nobody that becomes a somebody. When it ends, you remain feeling good for a couple minutes, then reality sets in, and you're back to believing good things like this rarely happen, and how silly you are to believe in all that nonsense.
WHAT IF YOU WERE CHALLENGED TO BELIEVE IN A DIFFERENT WAY?
Good things happen every day, every moment, whether it's wishes coming true, miracles witnessed, dreams realized, etc. Take a movie for example. The writer's dream came true when receiving the call that a movie could possibly be made from his or her book. The director, producer, and the entire production team's wishes came true when they were hired to participate. The actors praying for their debut or comeback realized their dream. A small town barely keeping it's head above water learns there will be a movie filmed there that they will profit from for months—an answer to a prayer. You get the idea. From the smallest role of giving coffee to the production team to the largest role in the movie, everyone has a different dream for the outcome. Being the author of the book would be my dream job, whereas yours may be the main character in the movie. Another may even want to be the store owner in town or someone working behind the scenes of the movie. This one movie could be the result of hundreds of prayers, wishes, and dreams. Think about how many movies are made in a year. Every one of those people may have thought, at some point, their dream would never come true!
There's potential for you to be whatever you want to be. Think of a dream. Now dream bigger. Keep it in your mind. You know it's your dream when you smile as you think about it. If someone laughs when you share your dream, remember the movie example. Yes, many will say they want to be the main character, but just as many would prefer staying behind the scenes. Remember your path. Listen to your intuition. Once you have your dream, think about what you can do to set goals for making it a reality.
One day you will wake up to discover you are the person you dreamed of becoming, doing what you wanted to do. Have faith and courage. Some days you may feel like you're the only one believing in you. Stay on your journey. Others may be jealous of your determination, but, many will look to you for guidance using you as a role model. Once you reach your goal, encourage others to find their dream by telling your story. It helps for people to know that dreams do come true!
