Vision Boards For Tweens

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

What is a vision board? The quickest answer is... your dreams. It's a creative way for pre-teens, teens, and adults to express what they want, whether it be better grades, improved health, a vacation, or motivation toward a goal. As a tween, what do you want? Notice the word you. Not what your parents want, or what you think your friends want.

A vision board is a compilation of thoughts and feelings put into a collage of what you love and want the most. It doesn't have to be a certain size, shape, or color. It can contain a variety of material, or merely a written statement. The only constant it requires is your attention. It must be placed in a space you see every single day. The reason is simple. You're creating an intention. When you clearly state what you want, and revisit those thoughts daily, you're creating the law of attraction. The law of attraction is when you experience what you think about most often. That's why positivity is so important and why it's imperative girls know these tips and tricks early on. It may provide a happier, more fulfilling life!

Prepare to spend a couple hours on your board, and have fun. If it's not enjoyable, you won't want to look at it every day. It's an invaluable tool that will help to motivate and inspire you. Vision boards are meant to be about you, but that doesn't mean you can't do a group project. Invite some friends and have materials handy so everyone can make their own vision board. You may discover some interesting facts and similarities about your friends.
